The mosaic map dates to the 6th century and was created as a visual aid to assist Christian Pilgrims in finding the important sights across the Holy Land.
So friends here is your question, when you hear (or think) Holy Land, what do you include? Israel, right? How about Palestine? Maybe, maybe not.
Have you ever put Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon and Syria into that category? Have you considered any of these four countries as part of the Holy Land? Because, ‘the story’, ‘our story’, unfolded in these places. All of them!
While I haven’t been in each of these lands, I have had the privilege to visit several of them, each one adding a rich layer to the whole and to the biblical narrative.
Yet again I am left wondering, how often do we see/think/imagine/dream too narrowly?
