Down Under in New Zealand

After just a 13 hour flight from LA, I landed in Auckland before 6:00 this morning. It was a pretty uneventful trip until I landed. Lucky me, I was tagged for a random search that required the border patrol to empty all the contents of my purse and my backpack, looking at each item, checking for explosives, well and for kicks, inviting the drug sniffing dog to check it all out as well.
No contraband.
No explosives.
No drugs.
It was a good day!

Kate was as the airport, waiting for me to come through. And waiting…

We spend the day enjoying highlights around Auckland. By the time we returned to her home, my phone said I had racked up 6 miles…some in sprinkles, some in downpour. No rainbows without rain!

A great reminder that no matter how far we wander, we are never alone; God’s promises find us wherever we go!
