Lunch Surprises!

Yesterday I was worried about a goat and today I was served fish head soup….you just never know!

I arrived in Bhutan this morning. The best way I can describe it thus far is a deep breath of fresh air.

When we touched down and disembarked the plane, we simply walked across the tarmac into the airport. The gentleman who was directing traffic for immigration was cracking jokes. The immigration officer who checked my credentials was kind, friendly, smiled, and wished me good travels.

The roadways are unhurried. The terrain is steep with water rushing in the space between the mountains. It is carved, quiet, and lovely.

Already I can feel the happiness quotient that Bhutan leads the world in. Let’s be honest, the fish might disagree.
