Donkey sighting!

Thanks to Pastor Eric at First Christian Church, Pedro the donkey lead Sunday morning's procession up the hill. I hope that the folks who caught a glimpse of the 'parade' were curious as to what it all might mean…

A donkey ~ a simple symbol of peace, humility, and suffering ~ marks Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem and our journey into Holy Week. What appears to be a triumphal entry turns out to be a misunderstanding as the Palm Sunday Festival quickly turns into betrayal, denial, abandonment, agony, and death.
