Joy In The Wilderness
Festival Reflections…
Saturday I covered nearly nine miles ~ from walking the parade, through the park, checking out the car show, back through the part; repeat and repeat. What a day!
The privilege of being part of the Immanuel parade representation is so good ~ the antique pickups and tractors, the swing bikes, Max the working dog, wheelbarrow therapy, a yard tractor, our kiddos slinging candy throughout town ~ but we also had many other Immanuelites participating ~ driving an antique car, representing a new pediatric practice in town and advertising a dog grooming business.
Prior to the start of the parade, I got to wander and greet and do a bit of catching up with as many of you as I could find. And then the big event…
Waves!
Greetings!
Smiles!
Candy!
You!
Joy!
This morning I walked to worship, because not only do I love the excitement of the festival, I also delight in the quiet respite of the morning after. Silverton was still mostly asleep when I crossed through, getting ready for another big day. Thanks Homer!
