Joy In The Wilderness
Good things happening
Warm feelings.
Friday morning I stopped by Gear Up for breakfast. Even though Dan Schacher was headed out the door with his own to-go order, he turned back. First, he jovially told his staff that my order needed extra salt and pepper {which is indeed how l prefer my bagel-egg-sandwich}. The second time he came back was to make sure that his outdoor heat source was properly preforming.
In all honestly, no part of this story would be surprising to anyway who knows Dan. He is kind. He is funny. He is engaging. He cares. He is gracious. He has a personality as warm and bright as his smile. Warm feelings.
Back to my Friday morning breakfast…
This time of the year, the only outdoor dining that I have any interest in requires a good heat source. Gear Up has just that. More warm feelings.
Pulling a rocking chair up close to the outdoor fireplace, Dan gushed about the brand-new Timber Stoves cage on the Timber Stove. As it turns out, Timber Stoves has gifted Gear Up with two addition Timber Stoves, along with cages for all three stoves. In addition, they have included a ton of pellets. Like literally, 2000 pounds of pellets to keep those stoves burning.
Smack dab in the midst of deep economic uncertainly Timber Stoves is being a good neighbor. Likewise, so is Dan Schacher. Both are responsible for good things happening.
Warm feelings.
