Joy In The Wilderness

Musings and ponderings by Pastor Leah Stolte-Doerfler

Mary, did you hear?

Tony has brought in his horns and is downstairs preparing for Sunday's performance. {Livestream at 6 pm on the 13th.} What a gift, what joy to hear the sounds of the season, Christmas Joy, filling the space.

Before mid-March, our building was a busy place. People. Events. Meetings. Sports. Sometimes we had to be creative {and graceful} in order to make it all happen. Most recently, there is far less traffic, less noise, fewer people. Living under the safety-restrictions, I am especially grateful when even there is music, or delightful smells from the kitchen, or giggles from children at play.

It seems to me that one of the silver linings of these past months is fresh appreciation of people, options, the sharing of our lives. With that said, I may not accomplish much this morning but I am certainly enjoying the pre-concert. Thanks Tony!
