Joy In The Wilderness
The rain is still overflowing
The guttle-guys {the technical term, I'm sure} are back at work. So far today, they have been sunned on, poured on and then sunned on again. Our gutters are full-on gushing and the drenched workers are still up the lift, replacing the old system.
It has been quite some time since I spoke to you of the Keep Going On Song. {You can find it on YouTube.} I can not begin to tell you how often I have heard those words echoing in my mind, even my heart.
As the days and weeks have stretched from one season to the next, I hear 'keep going on.'
Week upon week serving a de-centralized congregation and isolated community, I remind myself, 'keep going on.'
To my daughters, on opposite sides of the world I speak, 'keep going on.'
To each of you, however, wherever you are ~ even when that happens to be in a downpour ~ I cry out to you, 'keep going on.'
We keep going with the encouragement of one and other.
We keep going because the Spirit swirls and guides and empowers us for this very moment in time.
Pastor Leah
