Joy In The Wilderness
Get the giggles…
As I drove by, I could not help but notice the family.
The mama was pushing a stroller and along with her two grade-school-aged daughters, they were running up the sidewalk. Let's be clear, this didn't appear to be an exercise excursion. From the smiles plastered on their faces and the giggles that were ringing out, it seemed to me that I had glimpsed a family out playing, delighting in their day.
Even a quick peek at the news reminds us of the suffering around our world ~ from wildfires to hospital rooms, from Afghanistan to refugee camps, and on and on.
Yes, like many of you, I am tired; the pain from every corner seems never-ending. And then, I see or hear or experience something tender, like the mama and her kiddos, and light shines into my spirit.
May your eyes, ears and hearts perceive the good things in and on your life today.
