Joy In The Wilderness

Musings and ponderings by Pastor Leah Stolte-Doerfler

Hugs

In this odd season of Covid-rules, there has been no huggin' going on around Immanuel. And then, yesterday…

The hugs were quite different from the old days. Yesterday the hugs included honking horns, waves, smiles, cards, cookies, balloons, you! Yesterday, the church had community gathered ~ albeit, in cars and in the driveway ~ community gathered with smiles and kindness and joy.

For those of you who did the drive-through-greeting and for those of you who could not be there, I get to remind you that we are still church, Christ's church. We are church in order to live and serve in community and as community. I get to remind you but the truth is, you haven't forgotten.

Sending you all prayers of gratefulness and thanksgiving!

Pastor Leah
