Joy In The Wilderness
May the Force be with you
Let's be clear, I am not a Trekkie. While I grew up with the original series, and have seen some of the early movies, I'm not steeped in the characters or the culture. It seems important to lay that groundwork before I share a Star Trek insight.
It was one of you who passed the wisdom onto me. It begins when a character undergoes a rigorous quest. After all said and done, she asks why it was so difficult. And the answer ~ the trail is as hard as you make it.
While my retelling has almost certainly missed the mark, what remains is a profound nugget to chew on. The trail is as hard as you make it.
How might we apply that notion to life, relationships, getting along, letting go, starting over, forgiving, receiving forgiveness, exercise, healthy choices, wilderness wanderings…the list keeps going.
Friends, how often are we are own worst enemies? How often do we make our own trail even harder? Friends, we have options.
