Shining in the darkness

Traditions, traditions! If you have ever seen the play or the movie Fiddler on the Roof, can't you just hear Tevye belting out the line, 'Traditions'?

A world-wide pandemic has altered or tabled so many options but friends, there are still many ways that we can live out the traditions that are important to us.

Not unlike Halloween, we certainly can enjoy the holiday decorations of our neighbors. Perhaps even more so, since lights are such a central element in Christmas displays. Whether a simple outline of white lights or a yard pulsating with color, what a lively gift to the entire community.

As we head towards the longest night of the year, we do so remembering that the Light has come into the world; the Light is here among us.
